Kansas Governor Laura Kelly offers a $5,000 reward for information that can lead to an arrest in a double homicide in Labette County.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Labette County Sheriff’s Office have been investigating the murders of 39-year-old Jason M. Bakken and 43-year-old Leanda R. Pound, both of Mound Valley, since they were found dead in October 2022. Bakken and Pound were found by a friend on October 3rd, 2022, shot and killed in their home. Investigators believe the murders may have occurred up to a month before their discovery.
