Governor Laura Kelly orders flags to be flown at half staff across the state tomorrow in honor of an Iola Fire Chief and an Emporia Paramedic.
From sunup to sundown tomorrow flags will be lowered to half staff in honor of Iola Deputy Fire Chief Eric B'Hymer and Emporia Firefighter and Paramedic Greg Rausch.
B'Hymer was a 24 year veterans of the Iola Fire Department who passed away on May 14th due to a service-related illness.
Rausch was a 14 year veteran of the Emporia Fire Department who passed away on May 16th after battling an illness since 2023.
Kelly stated that the service of both men would not be forgotten by their communities.
