The new Bartlett Soybean Crushing Plant near Cherryvale takes another step toward completion.

 

An important step occurred late last week as the plant connected to the water system in Independence. City Engineer John Garris says the initial test of the new water line was a success.

 

There are a few more additional measures that need to be taken before the water line is up to full capacity. Garris says everything will be ready in time for the plant to open.

 

 

The anticipated opening date for the Bartlett Plant is this coming September.
