Multiple crews from the Bartlesville Fire Department responded Wednesday afternoon to a report of a drowning in the Caney River near Johnstone Park.

 Rescuers brought search boats to Johnstone Park and additional crews searched the river bank near the Tuxedo Boulevard bridge during the noon hour.

Bartlesville Fire Chief David Topping later confirmed it was a false report.
