Water was the main topic of focus at the Coffeyville City Commission meeting. The first item on the agenda was an increase in the water utility rates. City Manager Tim Wilson says this rate increase won't go into effect until 2025.
In other water related business, the commissioners approved a resolution to amend the 2024 Fee Schedule for Water Department related services, a resolution to adopt a new Water Conservation Plan for the City and an Ordinance to establish Water Rates during a Water Warning or Water Emergency.
Despite receiving two applications for the Library Board the commission decided to leave the position open for new applicants due to conflicts of interest of the two who applied.
