The Labette County Commissioners make $40,000 in grant funds available for childcare programs.
The grant program will utilize funds set aside from the childcare designated portion of ARPA Funds. Any licensed or soon to be licensed childcare facilities or an individual looking into opening a licensed childcare facility in Labette County can apply for the funding through July 31st. Those interested can request an application by contacting Laura Moore or Jim Zaleski at (620)421-7030 or applications can be picked up in the second floor offices at the Parsons Municipal Building at 112 South 17th Street.
The program is designed to help existing daycare facilities expand or improve services or assist new daycare facilities in startup costs. Each application will need to include a business or expansion plan detailing the expectations of the proposed project.
