The Labette County Commissioners hear a budget report from the Labette County Conservation District.

District Manager Elissa Robison along with a member of the board gave an update to the commission on their budget for 2025. There wasn't much change to the Conservation District budget from the previous year, but they are looking at adding a position to their staff and there was an increase in costs related to their field days they put on for the local schools.

In other business, Economic Development Director Jim Zaleski and Community Development Director Laura Moore spoke with the commission about how ARPA funds could be distributed for child care centers in the county. The commission also met with Zaleski in an executive session for an economic development update.
