The Independence City Commission meets and hears an update on public works projects.

 City engineer John Garris says the new Bartlett water line is nearly complete.

Garris also gave an update on the construction work on the municipal parking lot north of City Hall. He said work crews had just completed the first concrete pour in the lot and, weather permitting, construction should be complete by mid to late May.
