Jenks Man Sentenced on Second Degree Murder Charge

A Jenks man is sentenced for his role in the 2019 death of a Broken Arrow man.

On Friday, 37 year old Bradley Wade Wofford was sentenced on Second Degree Murder in Indian Country. U.S. District Judge John F. Heil ordered Wofford to 19 ½ years in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release.

According to court documents, Wofford was driving under the influence of methamphetamine when he rear-ended a car driven by 48 year old Scotty Dilbeck. Dilbeck was killed in the collision. State Troopers say Wofford was traveling at 66 miles per hour while Dilbeck was going 11 miles per hour when the accident occurred.

Wofford was previously convicted of driving under the influence on four separate occasions. He is a citizen of Cherokee Nation and will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

The FBI and Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated the case.
