Bartlesville Police are investigating the death of a 9 month old baby girl that occurred last week at a Bartlesville Day Care Center.

 Bartlesville Police Captain Daniel Elkins says the incident occurred early last week.

Elkins says the investigation is still in the very early stages, though there does not appear to be any indication of negligence of malicious intent.

BPD is encouraging people to be respectful of the family's privacy and not to speculate or spread rumors on social media. Authorities are waiting on the Medical Examiner's report to determine the cause and manner of death.
