A Florida man is seriously injured in a weekend accident near Independence.

 The accident occurred around 10pm last night on Table Mound Road near Elk City Reservoir. 49 year old William Dodson of Key Largo, Florida, was riding a motorcycle southbound on Table Mound road when he went left of center and lost control of the bike. Dodson was not wearing a helmet or other protective gear. He was taken to Labette Health in Parsons with serious injuries.
