Area community members are organizing fundraisers to benefit Deputy Justin Ward of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Deputy Ward was seriously injured in a head-on collision near Independence. The accident required Ward to be transported to a Tulsa hospital's trauma center. Ward continues to fight to recover from his injuries with his wife Danielle by his side. The couple has three young children.
A local cornhole club is sponsoring a fundraising cornhole tournament at Indy Fitness on April 20th. There will be a social division and a competitive division. The tournament begins at 1pm. There will also be a Strongman Competition, a bake sale, and Silent Auction at 5pm with live music by Brian Leedy and Tracy & The Time Travelers. For more information or to register to play, go here.
