Students at Independence High School will be honored tonight for their academic excellence.

 Tonight is USD 446's Academic Awards night. Independence Chamber President Lisa Wilson says IHS has quite a few students to be proud of.

In addition to academic awards, tonight's banquet will honor present senior scholarship awards. Wilson says it's a great way to recognize the accomplishments of students as they look toward continuing their education.

Tonight's banquet begins at 6:30pm.
