USD 446 is approaching the date to open the new Early Learning Center.

 

District Superintendent Jason McAfee provided an update on the building at this month's board meeting. He ensures that recent severe weather in the area has not impacted the exterior of the building, and that building tours should be available soon.

 

The district is still on schedule to open the ELC building in August.

 

Additional items of discussion at the April board meeting was the hiring of nearly 30 staff members, ranging from kindergarten to high school instructors, for the Summer School program.

 

The district also recognized extracurricular accomplishments, with Addison Lanning a powerlifting state champion, Kohen Wright and Mason Gibbons placing second and third place in state wrestling, respectively, and Adriel De La Cruz being named All State First Chair Trumpet.
