Missouri Attorney General Requests Execution Date For Man Convicted of Child Murder

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey asks the State Supreme Court to set a date of execution for a man convicted of the rape and murder of a nine year old girl.

Christopher Collings was convicted of the rape and murder of Rowan Ford by a Phelps County jury in 2012. The same jury sentenced him to death in the case due to the inhumane treatment of the victim. Collings case has been reviewed by the U.S. Supreme Court and no legal errors have been found.

If the Missouri Supreme Court issues and execution date, the date will be set for sometime within 90 to 120 days of the issuance of the order.
