Solar Eclipse on Monday

There will be good solar eclipse viewing on Monday in southeast Kansas, weather permitting.

The path of totality will just miss most of the listening area, covering instead parts of southeast Oklahoma, central Arkansas, and southeast Missouri. Ron Mallory of Kansas Astronimical Observers, says we'll still be able to see a good show.

Mallory reminds us to use proper safety precautions when viewing the eclipse.

In southeast Kansas, the eclipse will begin around 12:30pm on Monday.
