Residents of Fredonia may soon have a new, revamped shooting range.

 At last night's meeting, the Fredonia City Commission heard a presentation from Clayton Osburn of

MOA Tactical, a shooting education company based in Arkansas. Osburn says his organization is prepared to bring a safe shooting sports program to Fredonia.

The current shooting range in Fredonia was recently shut down by law enforcement due to the location being unsafe for shooting. Commissioner seemed agreeable to the idea of a gun club, but were concerned that the old range in under a lease agreement that allows the lessee to hay the area. Improvements to the range might nullify the hay lease. Commissioners agreed to investigate the issue and told Osburn they would revisit the issue at the May 1^st Commission meeting.
