Roadwork Between Oswego and Parsons

A few delays will be possible this spring for anyone traveling between Oswego and Parsons on U.S. 59.

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, resurfacing work will start on Monday, April 8th. The 17-mile project area begins at the north city limits of Oswego and continues west and north to Parsons. Project activity includes a mill and inlay with rumble strips and edge wedge. Flaggers and a pilot car operation will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours. Drivers can expect delays of 15 minutes or less. The road work should be finished by June, weather permitting. KDOT awarded construction contracts totaling $5.1 million to Bettis Asphalt & Construction Inc., of Topeka.
