Missouri Couple Arrested for Theft in Cherokee County

A Missouri couple is taken into custody following an investigation into a burglary.

Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a rural northern Cherokee County home after the owner returned to find the door had been kicked in and numerous items, including the children's Easter gifts, tools and several firearms were stolen. In reviewing home surveillance, the deputy recognized the two suspects and the vehicle they were traveling in.

The deputy knew the suspects were from the Carthage area, so they contacted the Carthage police, who arrested the suspects. After being located by the Carthage Police, the suspects were found to be in possession of a significant amount of methamphetamine, along with the property they stole. Both suspects, 44-year-old Connie Hendrix and 43-year-old Michael Bryan Markham are being held in the Jasper County Jail.
