The Kansas Bureau of Investigation arrests a former Allen County Sheriff's Deputy for indecent liberties with a child.

 On Friday evening a round 7:15pm KBI agents arrested 24 year old Michael Tennyson of Iola. Around 3:30 Friday afternoon, the Hays Police Department requested assistance in locating a 15 year old runaway who had been missing since March 22. Hays police officers believed the teen was with Tennyson in Iola. The teen was located at Tennyson's home by Allen County Sheriff's Deputies and placed in protective custody.

Tennyson had been hired as a deputy by the Allen County Sheriff's Office in January. His employment was terminated Friday when the allegations became known. Tennyson was booked into the Allen County Jail, but he will be housed in the Bourbon County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
