A Columbus man receives a six-year prison sentence.

54-year-old Eric Wood was sentenced to a 72-month sentence in the Kansas Department of Corrections. In January, Wood pled guilty to aggravated indecent liberties with a child and attempted indecent solicitation of a child following an investigation by the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

Wood was ordered to be held in the Cherokee County Jail pending his transfer to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
