The Independence Historical Museum & Art Center Young Artists Exhibit opens tomorrow at the museum in Independence.
The exhibit features art work by talented southeast Kansas artists in 3rd through 12th grade. The judge for this year's show is Kentucky artist Burt Bucher. Bucher currently serves as the Associate Professor and Director of the Visual Arts Program at Independence Community College.
There will be a public reception on Thursday evening at 7pm where Bucher will share his thoughts on the show and the winners in each grade level and division.
The Independence Historical Museum & Art Center is located at 123 north 8th street in Independence.
