Kansas Senator Jerry Moran says it's time for the Senate Committee on Agriculture to resume negotiations on a new Farm Bill.
In November, Congress extended a version of a farm bill adopted in 2018. The current extension will expire in September. Moran says that many of the provisions in that bill need to be re-worked to keep up with current demands like inflation and the recent drought.
Moran added that he hopes senators can get back to the table and provide meaningful relief for Kansas farmers.
