Authorities in McDonald County, Missouri, announce the closing of a thirty year old cold case.
Police have identified Talfey Reeves as a now-deceased suspect in the 1990 murder of Shauna Garber. Reeves died in 2021. Investigators believe Reeves picked up Garber in the Tanglewood/Ginger Blue area of Missouri Highway 59. Garber's remains were found in December 1990 by a couple out for a walk on a rural road. Her identity remained unknown until September 2020 when advanced DNA testing revealed her identity.
McDonald County authorities say the suspect Reeves was well-known to law enforcement and if he were alive, would have faced charges of 1st degree murder in the case.
