One person is injured in a car crash in Woodson County.

 The accident occurred around 2:30 yesterday afternoon when a 2009 Chevy Impala driven by 66 year old Charles Wilson of Yates Center was traveling westbound on US 54. Wilson's vehicle crossed the center line into the eastbound lane of traffic and into the path of a semi truck driven by 38 year old Jeremy Craft of Moran. Craft attempted to avoid a collision by driving onto the gravel shoulder, but was struck head on by the Impala on the shoulder. Wilson sustained serious injuries in the collision and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Craft was uninjured.
