Two arrests are made after police respond to reports of shots fired.

Just after 12:30am this moring, Parsons Police Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Chess Avenue. Two individuals, 19-year-old Jessie Jones and 19-year-old Cedric Webb Jr. were identified as the gunmen. The incident originated from several fights between 18-year-old Iniya Hinman and 19-year-old and Dakiah Yates over their relationship with Jessie Jones. Yates visited Hinman's residence and a fight broke out in the front yard before moving inside.

The homeowner, 38-year-old Ericka Reece grabbed a gun and ordered everyone to leave. The fight continued outside, where Yates pulled out a gun and shots were fired from the house by Webb. Following the initial fight, Yates left the scene with Jones and Hinman fleeing in different directions. Jones and Yates returned to the scene, where Jones fired several shots at the residence. Jones and Webb have both been taken into custody. There were no reported injuries.
