A Girard man is on his way to compete in his second Olympics.
Derek Mein has landed one of two spots on the U.S. Men's Trap Shooting Team for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Mein has been involved in shooting sports from a young age and says traveling to the Tokyo games in 2020 was a dream come true. This time around, the Girard native says he wants to bring home a medal to southeast Kansas.
The Summer Olympic Games begin in Paris on July 26th.
