The Parsons City Commission thanks the local Elks Club for their work on the city St. Patrick's Day celebration.

 At Monday's meeting, City Manager Debbie Lamb told the commission that she had received many thanks for the city regarding last weekend's festivities. Lamb says the real thanks goes to the Parsons Elks Club.

In other matters, Lamb reported to the commission that the city is still in the process of deciding what to do about tennis court renovation in the city. Lamb says there will be a meeting soon with the Superintendent of USD 503.

Other business before the commission included the approval of streets closures for the April 6 & 7 Fire School by the Parsons Fire Department and approval of the appointment of Trisha Myers to the Community Corrections Advisory Board.
