Yesterday's Kansas Presidential Primary shows low voter turnout.
Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab says fewer than 100,000 voters turned out for yesterday's vote. Schwab says he was not surprised by the low turnout given the unusual date of the primary. This is only the third time Kansas has held a presidential preference primary. The other times were in 1980 and 1992.
Results show Donald Trump garnering 75% of the votes cast on the Republican side while Joe Biden received 84% of the state Democrat vote.
Unofficial vote tallys show about 20,000 advanced mail-in ballots were returned out of the 35,000 that were sent out. 9,580 were from Democratic voters and 10,857 from Republicans.
