Election Day in Chautauqua County

Today is the day to voice opinions on the Presidential Preference Primary in Chautatuqua County.

There are three polling locations throughout the county: The Sedan High School Gymnasium, God's Lighthouse of Prayer Church in Peru, and First Baptist Annex in Cedar Vale.

The purpose of a preference primary is to allow the state of Kansas to conduct a primary election, in which vote totals are shared to allocate delegates at the national convention.

County residents can vote at any time today until the polls close at 7 p.m.

Additional items of business at this week's commission meeting was updates from Public Works Superintendent Mark McCall and Human Resources Administrator Crystal Wade.
