The Altamont City Council approves a measure to raise prices on a season pass for the city swimming pool this summer.

 At last week's meeting, council members spent a significant amount of time discussing a proposal to raise prices. Mayor Richard Heyward says he had heard from citizens on what would make them willing to pay more. Council member Lyle Sykes say he thinks a moderate increase would be acceptable.

The Council approved a measure to increase prices for a single pass to $45 and the family/grandparent pass price to $90. The daily admission will remain at $2 per person. The council approved the measure 4 to 1 with Tyler Jalich voting no.
