Every week in Independence, there are several community meals available to the public.

 Chamber President Lisa Wilson says they provide an in important service in the community.

Wilson says there are several meals provided by area churches every week.

Last week, the CUFF meal helped feed 190 people.

 

The First Christian Church holds a Tuesday meal – carry-out only – from 5 to 5:30pm. The First Baptist Church has a meal on Wednesdays at 5:45 – dine-in only. On Thursdays, the churches take turns hosting the CUFF meal at the Wesley Center. The CUFF meal is carry-out only and starts at 6pm
