Little House on the Prairie opens for the 2024 season this Friday.
The official Laura Ingalls Wilder homesite southwest of Independence is dedicated to preserving the Kansas home where the Ingalls family lived from 1869 to 1871. Little House Director Rhonda Steven says a trip to the site will take you back in time.
In addition to the museum, the Little House Site has a gift shop. Steven says there are many Little House-related items available for purchase.
Coming up at the end on May at the Little House site is the 50th Anniversary Cast Celebration where members of the cast of the television show will be on hand including the actors who portrayed Nellie Olson, Almanzo Wilder, Carrie Ingalls, and more.
The Little House Museum is open 7 days a week from 10 to 5 and admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids 18 and under.
