Bartlesville Board of Education Adopts Parent Bill of Rights

 The Bartlesville Public Schools Board of Education approve a new policy that highlights the district's commitment to parent participation in schools. 

 At yesterday's meeting, Bartlesville schools formalized the policy known as a "Parent Bill of Rights by adopting guidelines to promote and encourage the involvement of parents and guardians within the school district.  

Superintendent Chuck McCauley says Bartlesville has always encouraged parental involvement and was in compliance with the expectations. 

Recent state legislation requires it to be formally adopted as a board policy.The policy outlines eight areas of expectations between the district and parents or guardians.
