Construction on the Municipal Parking Lot in Independence is slated to begin next Monday.
The lot is located directly north of City Hall at 6th and Myrtle. City Engineer John Garris says the rebuild will make the parking lot more accessible.
Garris says the project should be finished quickly. The lot will be closed to the public until construction is complete.
