Road improvements totaling $70 million are coming to southeast Kansas.

 

State approval has been given to reconstruct and add shoulders on U.S. 160 from the junction of 169 to Altamont. State Senator Virgil Peck says this modernization near the new Bartlett plant is crucial as the plant gears up.

 

Passing lanes will also be added to U.S. 169 between 160 and 400. Peck says these projects will be beneficial for everyone in southeast Kansas.

 

These three projects were among 17 announced across the state.
