The search for two men wanted in connection to a weekend stabbing death along the state line continues.

Reports indicate that on Wednesday, deputies from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office chased a silver Mercedes from Kansas into Missouri. The speed of the chase reached 120 mph at times and officers lost the vehicle as it neared Galena.

Reports also indicate that the chase may have involved two men who are being sought in Missouri in connection to a weekend stabbing death. Authorities are looking for 30 year old Scott Burleson of Wyandotte, OK, and 36 year old Paul Phillips of Seneca, MO. Burleson has been charged with Second Degree Murder in the case and Phillips is listed as a Person of Interest. Both are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on either of these two men should contact the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.
