Oklahoma House Passes Bill for Cosmetology/Barber Training in Prisons

The Oklahoma House unanimously passes a bill designed to help prisoners develop work skills.

The purpose of the bill is to help cosmetology and barber schools in prisons to continue to train students by changing application requirements. The changes would allow schools that operate inside prisons to be exempt from submitting financial statements because they do not collect money and are free of charge for inmates.

The bill now moves to the Oklahoma Senate for consideration.
