The Sedan Public Library is selected to receive a $10,000 grant to improve accessibility.

 The funding comes through an American Libraries Association initiative called Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities. The purpose is to help small town libraries to better serve people with disabilities.

The Sedan Library will use the funds to offer their staff an online course in how to lead conversations. Staff will then hold in-person conversations with residents about making the library easily accessible to everyone. Funds will also create two ADA-accessible parking spaces in front of the new library.
