The Parsons Police Department recognizes their 2023 Officer of the Year.

 At last night's Parsons City Commission meeting, PPD officially recognized Corporal Christian Smith as their 2023 Officer of the Year. The award was presented in conjunction with VFW Post 704 and is a credit to Corporal Smith's dedication, leadership, and outstanding service to the community. Police Chief Robert Spinks says the department expects good things from Smith.

Smith joined the PPD in 2019 and currently serves as the K9 handler for K9 Morgan. Spinks added that Smith exemplifies the qualities the P-P-D values in its officers.
