Miami County Deputies arrive just in time to help.

 Last week, Sheriff's Deputies, EMS, and Fire responded to calls of a medical emergency just north of Paola. A pregnant woman and her husband were on their way to the hospital to deliver their baby, but the little one arrived sooner than expected, and the young family pulled to the side of the highway on US 169.

When emergency crews arrived, they found a breathless dad who exclaimed, “I just delivered my baby!” Responders congratulated the couple and escorted the family of three to a nearby hospital. Mom and baby are reported as doing great.
