The Montgomery County Commission held their regular weekly meeting this morning in the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence.

 Near the end of the brief meeting, Commissioner Robert Bever asked to address the commission before adjournment. Bever says he has considered his request for some time.

Bever has been a vocal proponent for some time that Montgomery County hire a person to serve as something of a coordinator between the population centers. Bever read the resolution for Commissioners Mike Cordray and Larry McManus.

The commissioners approved the resolution by a 3-0 vote. According to state law, they will have 60 days to fill the new position.
