The Sedan City Commission is working out the rough patches as the city adjusts to a new trash contractor.
Sedan recently signed a contract with Waste Connections of Bartlesville for trash service. The new contract began on January 1st . At Tuesday's city commission meeting, commissioners were still working to decide who is required to pay for trash service and who is exempt.
The commission agreed to an exception for non-profit 501c3s and also for contiguous commercial enterprises, though no new ordinance was passed. The next Sedan City Commission meeting will be held on February 20th
