The Parsons Police Department will honor their fallen K9 this week.
PPD will hold a memorial service on Wednesday at 12:00pm at the Municipal Auditorium for K9 Karim. The public is invited to attend. PPD says Karim was a loved and valued nember of the police department and this memorial is designed to recognize and remember their loved co-worker and friend. Wall Funeral Home is coordinating the service. Reverend Jennifer Dawson will be officiating.
Internment for Karim will take place at a future date at Oakwood Cemetery in a to be dedicated resting space for service animals. Karim passed as an Active Duty Member on August 21st. He was off duty when he passed.
