An event is coming up in Coffeyville that may be of interest to cattle producers.
The OKAN Cattle Conference is coming up on February 9th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Coffeyville Rec Center. K-State Research and Extension Livestock Production Agent Wendie Powell says attendees will have the chance to become Beef Quality Assurance certified.
Powell says BQA certification is a widely recognized program that benefits producers and consumers.
The conference is free to attend and lunch is provided. The event is sponsored by the Beef Checkoff. Registration is required by January 31st, and more information is available here.
