According to the Coffeyville Fire Department, two animals were found deceased in the garage fire on First. According to a family friend, all occupants and pets at the fire on 8th Street made it out of the house without injury. The cause of both fires is under investigation however both are believed to be accidental in nature.

Local fire departments respond to two early-morning fires.
This morning just after 3:30, the Coffeyville Fire Department responded to 1112 W 1st Street in Coffeyville to a report of a detached garage on fire in the alley between 1st and 2nd Street. That fire was quickly contained. Just a few minutes later around 3:40, Coffeyville, Dearing, Tyro, Liberty and Coffeyville Resources crews were called to 503 E 8th Street to a report of a house fire with flames coming out of the attic of the house. Crews were able to put out the fire and started leaving the scene just after 6 this morning. There is no word yet regarding any injuries or the cause of either fire.
