The Girl Scouts of the Kansas Heartland will be holding an informational sign up event Tuesday in Independence.

 Girls in Independence, Neodesha, and Cherryvale who are interested in Girl Scouts can attend the evetn at the Independence Public Library from 4 to 5pm on Tuesday. Girls will be able to participate in an activity and learn about Scouting at the same time. The yearly membership fee is $25 and financial assistance is available.
