An inmate in the Vernon County Jail in Nevada, MO, appears to have died from a drug overdose.

 Authorities at the jail confirm that an inmate has died and that two others also appear to have overdosed, but are recovering. The three had been sharing a cell together when jail staff discovered the incident around 7pm on Wednesday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating. No names have been released.
