The Independence Police Department investigates a vehicle theft.

 IPD officials say the theft took place between Friday night around 8:00 p.m. And Saturday morning around 7:50, in the 1800 block of North 10th Street.

 The gray Kia Soul was taken from a driveway and located in a wooded area near Catalpa and 11th.

 IPD is also investigating a residential burglary and theft that occurred in the 2000 block of North 10th Street between 10:00 PM and 2:30 AM Sunday night.

 Officials ask residents in the area to check your surveillance cameras and notify IPD if you observe anything that may be relevant, or if you have information related to these cases.
