A Galena man dies after being shot by a juvenile New Year's morning.

 Monday morning around 2:20, officers with the Galena Police Department were notified of a man that had been shot at the Galena Estates Apartments, located near East 7th and State Line Road.

 When officers arrived, a juvenile boy was found sitting on the stairs of one of the apartment buildings. He informed officers that a person in the 3rd floor apartment had been shot.

 Officers found 38-year old Christopher Story deceased inside the apartment.

 Officers arrested the boy and transported him to the Juvenile Detention Center, pending formal charges.
